Do whatever you think will be easiest, but you should take a stroller even if you think he's too big and won't be using it. I've seen families bring their own wagons to the Park, though. Many, in fact. But anyway, the strollers at Walt Disney World are pretty big, so you shouldn't have any worries fitting through lines or little shops and restaurants, or whatever. If you don't want to bring your own stroller, just rent one of the strollers from Walt Disney World. A ten-year-old could fit in them. They're perfect because you can park them at the different attractions and leave them for a while if you're not using it at the moment and don't feel like pushing it, or when he's tired it's big enough that he can lay back a bit and take a nap. Plus, like the person above said, it's also great because you can put your purse in there, a bag of snacks, changes of clothes, sunscreen, etc. Any things you may need to survive at day at the Parks. Just a note, though - if you're going to either of the Water Parks, keep in mind, strollers are allowed but you MUST bring your own. They do not have strollers for rent at the two Water Parks.

Since it's your first trip with your young son, here's a couple links to some information you may find helpful...

(Information about bringing your own strollers or renting from WDW.)

Hope I could help!

Rent a stroller at the park. If you rent the double one for a couple of dollars more, he will fit in it just fine. I see kids there all the time who are older than 5 in the rental strollers. It's a long day, and you'll be glad you got one.

Oh, and Disney does not allow wagons inside the park. Nothing that must be pulled, only things that can be pushed. One of those weird rules that most people don't know! Also, no roller skates (including Wheelies) or rolling backpacks.

Have a great trip... your son will LOVE it!

Rent a double stroller at the Disney parks. I have a 7 year old and she will still ride in it. The strollers are larger.

I totally understand. If you have a good, sturdy stroller, take it. I know you won't allow him/make him sit in it the whole time. My child is no longer using the stroller but there are times I use it, amusement parks being one of them. They hold your bags, they help when the kid is tired, and for long busy days I don't see the issue.
