When deep down inside you know there is no "fixing" the relationship or you've given up trying. When you become numb and know that both of you could be happier without each other than with.

I am not sure there is a right time to give in. When my husband I got married, we decided that divorce was not even an option, therefore we have to make it work. It's when there is an easy out that people get out of marriages. Also, people think it's going to be easier with someone else! I am not sure that is true! If you haven't worked on yourself, then whatever is wrong in your marriage now, could come back in another marriage and cause the same problems. Best wishes to you, I don't want anyone to be unhappy in their marriage, but there just has to be a solution! Take care

I would say when the both of you are holding a gun to each others head . That would be a good time to call it quits . Save a life dump a marriage . Move on to better pastures . The grass has died and gone to seed . You know it because it doesn't have any color any more . It's dead . You will just know !

When both of you cannot deal with your problems on a social level and cannot get any understanding with one another, also if there is no children involved then I would say just call the D word.

But you have to make sure that you are sure on the decsion to whether or not this is what you want to do first...It might sounds good to you now but later you might change your mind and rethink this over and say no...I don't want to end it this way..
Word of advice just think it out carefully and don't make any decisions till you know for certain that is what you want to do! Good luck

When they BOTH want to try everything they can to save the marriage and then it still can't be saved. Usually it is one person wanting to call it quits and then the spouse and the children have no say and have to suffer through the divorce. It is very sad how so many people don't value their marriage vows anymore.

When they figure out the number to call!hahaha When you stop respecting each other and fall out of love. Cause no matter what you will always love this person and that's alright. People fall out of love with each other for different reasons. If there is kids involved sometimes staying together can hurt them more than divorce. They do not want to hear a bunch of arguing and fighting.
