Sad to say but there are fewer and fewer that can claim this. I can't even come close. I have come to applaud those who work to hold a marriage together. People no longer look at it as a life long bond, which is disheartening

My parents were married January 84 and I was born March 85. Next year they will have been married for 23 years, and I will turn 22.

December 7th, Pearl Harbor Day. 1941. (just thinking out loud for their anniversary day.... I'm not nearly that old)

No... I can't. My dad died when I was nine months old at the age of 24. He and my mom were newlyweds.

Hmmm. That's even more interesting than I expected. I'm older than my parents' marriage...they were married in 36 and Maman died in 75. I was born in 55...and I was the 'baby' - my bro was born in 39. Darn it, now you've made me do math and think.

they've been married 23 years and I'm, 20 so just about. I feel blessed to be able to say that my parents are happily married. Unfortunately nowadays that's becoming rare.
