if you are paying cash in full you will not have a mortgage. you will still go through an escrow process and transfer of title. your realtor and title company will facilitate that process.

The only detail you requested was the mortgage process. If you are paying cash, there is no mortgage process.

If you are worried about the mortgage a seller has, you will pay for the house at closing to the title company. The sellers mortgage will be paid off through the title company.

You can expect to pay your yearly County, State, and school district taxes yearly. Not to mention your insurance premiums. You can expect to not be able to use your mortgage or lack of a mortgage as a tax shelter. I think you would do yourself a favor by consulting a professional to assist you with this decision. It's probably not a good one . (unless you are a money laundry)
