Yes there is a firefox extension you can use and you can then download the clip to your PC.. Videodownloader i think it is called.

I stumbled on this webpage "http://www.methodshop.com/mp3/tutorials/youtuberip/index.shtml". It's a tutorial on how to copy off You Tube and convert them for your Video Ipod. I haven't tried it so couldn't tell you if it works.
