for me is SILENT HILL.. so freakin' scary.. silent hill 1 to 4 is the best!

I believe Silent Hill is the best. I may be biased, but Silent Hill makes you think, rather than just shooting your way out of a situation, you have to figure things out. The storylines are great, the characters are people you can relate with, and it really ups the emotional connection with the characters. Therefore making the gameplay more enjoyable.

well, RE you can still have that i can kick your @ss attitude, in SH you're a wimp running away! but i do like those graphics in silent hill, plus it has more substance.

Doom 3 or F.E.A.R.
Play either one of those games at night in a lightless room and you wont be able to sleep soundly for months.
