Do you leave a message on voice mail - or just call back?

Usually whatever it takes to get the voice mail; or about 6 if they don't have it. Sometimes I leave a message, sometimes not, depends on who I'm calling and if it's long distance for them to call back, I will just call again later.

If I call someone at their home : five times. (unless I phone my mom, then I let it ring a lot more times, cuz she's not too fast anymore)
No, I never leave a message. If the message is urgent, I try to track them down via their cellphone or via friends, and otherwise I'll just call back later.

4 or 5 times unless the person is elderly and has trouble getting to the phone. I usually leave a message.
