How is the best way to learn everything. Without buying books. You see I am new to programming and I am lost. HELP!!!

It does not matter what you use for reference
- books
- internet
- CDs

what does matter is how much of an effort you put practicing the language. You gotta have a good compiler, an IDE and some problem set that you try and solve while learning the language.

Search the internet, it's the best resource there is :)

From my opinion, however, do not take the time to learn Java. Well, if you're trying to create desktop applications, that is. It's much slower then most other languages out there and not very efficient for desktop applications (from my experiences). If you're looking into Server side/Mainframe programming, then Java is def. the way to go :)

Search for Java tutorial in the search engines. Have alot of websites giving Java tutorial. Good luck for you.
