He went to Africa. He did show up at the last show. It was a tear jerker. The show wasnt the same without him.
It was rumored that Ashton Kutcher had more air time and the show originally was supposed to revolve around Topher Grace's character. Also Ashton, Wilmer and Danny hung out a lot, going to the clubs and got really close. Topher ended up being the black sheep. Also he felt like his character wasn't growing anymore so he decided to further his career.

Topher Grace was off the show in 2005 because he was filming Spider Man 3

They didn`t replace him, there`s no way they could`ve gotten away with that. I was even mad when they replaced Lorie.
Eric went to Africa and Donna dated someone else, but she ended up breaking up with him and getting back with Eric.

they didn't replace him he went to africa and some other guy came along but a totally different person
