Who tought you grammer? There is no queen of ireland unless you mean in an art way or in history or something. There is the president who is a woman (Mary Mc Aleese) if that's what you mean?? asking that in Ireland would result in every one in the room/public place/where ever you are to stop talking and stare at you.

Easy there rabidchipmunk. Mary has not been the Queen of Scots for some time now (not since 1567). I think drgoodhi gave a cool answer because the current president of Ireland is Mary McAleese and Mary Robinson was the president if Ireland before McAleese. So you could say that Mary is the Queen of Ireland and get away with it ;)

Ireland is an island, split into two countries: Northern Ireland, which is a constituent country in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland; and southern Ireland, more properly called the Republic of Ireland. The Republic of Ireland has a President, who is just a ceremonial dude (should say dudette).....and a Prime Minister, who does the work.

Ireland does not have a queen and for the person that said Mary that's Scotland. You know they are different countries. Try cracking a book sometime.
