Hi! Both are wonderful. There should never be mineral oil in the first 3 ingredients. That is a cheap product (like lard and tire goop mixed together) that clogs pores. Olay is very kind to the skin and one of the better choices. Avon is now starting to lead the makeup industry. Their alpha hydroxies and glycolic acid products are better than the top known brands. I've worked with all types and Avon is clearly one of the best choices. Good luck!

I saw on the Today Show last week that a $20. Oil of Olay worked better than much more expense brands and won some testing they did. It even beat brands costing $170. Avon has some good stuff too.

Avon has been around forever. Some products can be expensive and no better than what you can buy in the stores. Oil of Olay is a good over the counter product for your face. Mary Kay is better than Avon!

Depends on the product. Some of Avon and Olay's products are great, others....... maybe not.
I would compare ingredients if I were you.
I wanted to buy mineral powder foundation, so I began checking around and comparing ingredients/prices.
Avon's is cheap....but has over 22 ingredients..a lot of them chemicals and fillers.
Bare Minerals...pretty good...but pricey
Then I found Arbonne. Ordered the mineral foundation and a few other things....loved it, so now I buy wholesale and sell it too! Arbonne's has 7 ingredients and 1 colorant. Large size, comes with free Kabuki brush, and is half the price of Bare Minerals.
You can order Arbonne online and they ship right to your door. http://www.arbonne.com .

I use and have for many years, Avon's Skin So Soft body lotion. The bottle with the blue cap. It makes my skin soft, silky and shiney. People constantly comment on my skin. I recently tried the SSS body lotion with the pink cap. It smelled nicer but it didn't give the silky feel or the shine that the blue cap gives. I love the blue cap SSS body lotion.
For my face.....I used Olay for MANY years and I found it useless. It didn't do any of the things it swears to do. It's no better than a cheaper moisturizer.

Avon is okay -- just be selective in what you purchase.
Oil of Olay is good also - I use the moisturizer.
