A Citizen has Rights, a Subject does not.
A Citizen has authority over public servants, a Subject does not.
Socialist States turn their people into Subjects living under a dictator. They create a power structure with an absolute ruler who controls all aspects of society in a manner reminiscent of a Medieval Fuedal/Manoral state.
When the American nation was created, it was based on the concept that its population would be Citizens with the Sovereignty to command their public servants. In the past fifty years or so, with weakening of adherence to the strict meaning of the Constitution, the nation has increasingly moved toward the Socialist model by depriving Citizens of their basic rights to own property, to posess and carry arms, to exercise their religion freely without government interference...

Why do people get so upset about this subject/citizen thing? What it states on your passport has almost bugger all to do with how free or Onfre you are.
Americans are citizens are free to be shot in the head by all and sundry, die on the street if they don't have medical insurance. British subjects live in a tolerant country which sells arms to dodgy countries in return for oil dispensations.
Cubans live in a socialist dictatorship and have the best education and health services in the world and are happier than your average oil guzzling, earth polluting two-faced "democrat".
Personally I am more than happy to be a Subject, it has never done me any harm and there is not a single country in the world where people are citizens and are necessarily better off for it. I'd rather have a truly independent hereditary monarch as head of state than another politician. The separation in the UK works perfectly well and has a much better track record than most other major industrialised countries. It isn't broke, so why fix it?
Get a grip chaps!

This has been an issue in the UK for many years particularly by the UK republican movement (anti - monarchists).
In the UK because it is a Monarchy all of the people born in the UK are "Subjects" of the Queen or King.
They are not in fact citizens of the country (UK)
The UK does not have a written "constitution" like the USA. to protect citizens rights - (The Monarch does it for her subjects)
If you look at a British passport it states clearly we are "British Subjects"
Strangely the British colonies and dependant territories are citizens of that particular country.

A citizen is part of a neo nazi regime.... normaly called america but also might be EU or china or chad or anyother non-place.
A subject is an inteligent individual who knows that the true head of state is the monarch (if your british or commonwealth) or that the true head of state ought to be the British monarch (if your are enlightend en live anywhere else).
Anyone calls me a citizen gets a free ride to the hospital where the nhs will happily fix their nose.
Merry xmas to all en to all a good night!

I've just checked my new passport and it has me down as a 'British Citizen'.
I believe we became 'citizens' under the wonderful European laws.
I hugely object.
I was born a subject of her Britannic Majesty and a subject I shall die.
Stuff Europe!
