Hi there !!!! Detoxing is wonderful for our body as well for our soul. This is a process though. Plus you need to take some things into consideration. First you should have professional assistance if you have any health ailment and are taking any medications for maintnence.
You could start with getting a colonic. This will really take away a lot of build up in your intestines. You will have to go to a specialist for this.
You could try to do some juice fasting, this can be done for a couple of days of longer. Some people take supplements when fasting or detoxing. You are going to find out like you mentioned in your question that there are so many methods out there, all of them must have some good in them, like everything else, what might work for you might not work for me.
You need to be relaxed when you want to do a detox though. Try not to be stressed out, allow your body to go through the process of detox. You might feel yucky before you feel better. You can incorporate massage, to drain your lymphatic system, do steam baths, saunas, dry brushing on your skin , deep breathing, sun bathing and just plain relaxing. Listen to soft instrumental music. When drinking your juice or what you choose to detox with enjoy it, savor it, do not look at the experience as negative, as a have to, but a want to , a desire to clean your body, to allow it to function better. Close your eyes as you lie quietly, visualize your cells regenerating, visualize a bright light surrounding your body whole, giving you healing love.
I would not do this around the holiday season if you are going to have a lot of in and out of your house.
I wish you a wonderful detox with exceptional results. Remeber that everything exists in the spiritual realm first, then in the physical, you should always be positive about this journey you will embark on, visualize all of the positive results, better skin, hair, nails, internal organs, inner well being sense of feeling lighter and even happier. Happy holidays and happy detox

Detrox can be stressfull. Your body may not be used to it and you can fall sick. Also if you are a drinker and smoker, you'll will need to detox yourself every now and then to get rid of the toxins. I don't know whether it really fights cancer but it does clear the system and helps with weight loss. However, detox is good, once in a while. Another way to go on detox without paying so much on the products that are on sale. You can do it on your own. Mix 1 litre of water with 2 tablespoons of lemon and 2-3 tablespoons of maple syrup. Then go on a fruit diet. If you can't handle the hunger, you can have a slice of plain bread. Go on this diet for 3 days. Good luck!!

Yes I have done it. By water fasting. If in the winter I drink juice with water for 7 days. No vegetable juices. But fruit. Only fresh that I put through the juicer. Mainly orange juice and cranberry and grape juice. Very little of the latter 2 because I am also diabetic. Usually 7 days works great. I break the fast with vegetable juice for the first 2 days. You have to acclimate your body to eating again. Hopefully organic foods only. Lots of veggies mainly. I fruit a day works for me. I do a 7 day fast every 2 months. A 3 day every week. Water only. Listen to your body. You will find what works best for you. I just started on my own due to all the info out there. You probably like me have perused much. Is why I just did it. Now I know what is best for me. I learn something new about it every day. I stand by the above always. Good luck to you.

What tatiana said.
I personally subscribe to the apple detox diet. Three full days of nothing but organic apples (any type) and water. And each evening, take a tablespoon of olive oil. Try to get a colonic during this period, and take an enema during the other two days. You can also substitute the colonic for a third enema, but it's not as effective.
Also try to get a massage and do some exercise. You might feel a bit rough at the beginning, because your body is flushing out toxins, but stick with it because in the end you'll feel great.

Detox only if you are healthy! Not recommended if you arn't as it could make you worse. If you are healthy and have some body fat to spare than it is safe. Start by only consuming fiber, diluted fruit juice, herbal teas and water,,,nothing else! Fiber as in whole grain cereal,,no milk or sugar, nuts are okay if you eat sparingly.
After 2 days, you will begin detoxing; you may experience bad breath, body odor, etc. That will be the toxins exiting your body. Your sleep may become restless and you may experience unusual dreams. That's also part of the process. Don't do this longer than 4 to 5 days. Then, begin eating foods in small quantities like homemade soup. Not store bought! Avoid anything processed or man made,,,and continue with meals high in fiber, as this is what helps your body rid toxins. Keep up with teas and lots of water! Good luck!

Every year for a period of 19 days I FAST. This is the best way of detoxing your body and it is simple and logical. I haven't had even a cold for the past 9 years. It is not dangerous and every doctor or site that you may consult will agree on the benefits of fasting.
Fasting lets your body get rid of the toxins or free radicals and you will allow it also to rest. Like any machine it needs a rest from routine. Don't you like to have vacations from time to time?
In what consists fasting. Eat a large bowl of Quaker oatmeal in the morning and the fresh juice of a big grapefruit. You can also eat nuts and anything useful for you body without stuffing yourself. This will make your colon work like a clock and that is very important. Logical isn't it.
Don't eat ANYTHING during the day. It may be a little difficult the first few days but you will get used to it.
At night eat anything you wish. You will notice that as you go along on your fasting you will be satisfied with little amount of food. Even though during the day you dream about having big meals at night your stomach and your body will feel perfectly OK with a moderate amount of food.
When you don't eat during the day you will be very careful not to eat junk food at night and you will choose very wisely your diet at night because you know that you will be satisfied with a limited amount of food.
And last but this is very very important, drink GREEN TEA. This you can do all year long not just during the fasting period. Green tea cleans your body of toxins because it has the highest contents and the most powerful antioxidants. It is not a chemical drug and it is cheap. Punch "chinese green tea" in Google and you will see the qualities and benefits of green tea. It even cures cancer. Good luck. Let me know some time if it works for you.

You should do it regularly because it helps reset the body!
Digestion is the second most energy intensive process in the body so it's important to give it a rest.
That's why some cultures fast...
