Yep, download a free proxy server like AnalougeX from here

http://www.analogx.com/CONTENTS/download/network/proxy.htm

Put that on your PC, give the PC a static IP, connect both computers via ethernet to a switch or hub and then tell the MAC to use the proxy server.

Or just swap your modem for an ethernet router running DHCP and then plug em both into that.

Good luck :-)

If this presumption is precise, you may turn on the instantaneous and all (stressed out and instantaneous) will artwork as one community. If the Ewire does no longer have instantaneous potential, you'll want a instantaneous get admission to point which plugs into your LAN a twin of computers do. It desires to be configured as its guide will direct you. in case you want to characteristic this style of, also finally end up with one LAN with stressed out and instantaneous contraptions operating mutually.

It can be done, but a much better solution is to use a router. It will have the added benefit of protecting the vulnerable PC from hackers.
