Well I just read that Miss USA is getting a 2nd chance by going to rehab. Do u guys think this is fair?? Yeah I understand the old argument, everybody deserves a 2nd chance, but what are we getting out of this? Ok a druggie uses cocaine and I think it is right to take the crown away. I mean people look up to these damn women and pull this sh*t? Its good that shes going to rehab but I think it would be fair to take the crown away and give it to the runner up. This should be her lesson for doing cocaine. Well even Kate Moss got away wit it. She tested positive for being a crackehead but yeah she got her contracts back. Im like what the F%^&??!!! Why is it becoming more acceptable to be a crackhead? But anyways just my point of view, and im curious to know what everyone else thinks about this!

No, I don't think she deserved a second chance. It's embarrassing that she's suppose to represent the young women of America. I think she's a horrible roll model. Celebrities just have a whole different set of rules to live by.

Shes supposed to be a role model for yourn women everywhere so for her to break the law and the rules of the pagent then she should not be allowed to have a second chance. According to the radio Trumps excuse for her behavior was that shes a small town kentucy girl who got caught up in the New York lifestyle. There are hundreds of people in New York who have come from small town backgrounds and not had the same "personal issues" that she is having. If you do the crime you should pay the fine, which in her case should have been pulling her title. There was another instance a couple of years ago (2002) where the Mrs Universe winner Mrs Russia was stripped of her title for not showing at photo shoots. So does this mean that a photograph of a winner is more grounds of dethroning then underage drinking and drug use? This shows to the next generation of the pagent contestants that with the right sorrowful look, a few tears, and blaming your background could get you out of anything.

I didn't hear that she did cocaine. Wasn't it because of underage drinking? So how many of us didn't sneak into bars when we were underage? I'm not saying it's right, but it's not exactly being a crackhead either, and yes, crackheads deserve a second chance too.
Kate Moss lost a lot of big contracts and she's only still working because of cleaning up her act.
On second thought, since you inspired me to read more about this fascinating subject, I think Miss USA for a so called role model is a bit of a sleaze bag. Then again, who takes this whole thing seriously?

The very second Trump gave Miss USA Connor a "second chance", a great many of Connor's bitter political enemies (the ones that 'exposed' this 'scandal') probably blew a twisted fuse of rage. I don't challenge Connor's sincere apology, stating she got caught up in "what is New York"; something confirmed by anonmyous NYC night-life veteran insiders who also go further to say Connor was a "small town girl who went wild when she came into the city". Trump understands this.
"The Donald" also understands that people make political enemies on their ascent to fortune and public fame status--and knows Connor well made a great many of such enemies. Connor just open wide the door for them to punch in a few cheap shots....and not only did they do that--but it's a safe bet that Trump hired investigators into the matter, so he KNOWS who started this smear campagin; smart money says he'll quietly deal with them too: after all, you don't threaten a man's money making venture like the Miss USA Pageant and slip away with it.
I respect Trump giving Connor a second chance: she makes one more mistake from here on---she's out cold.
But I also agree with you in that celeb drug use/abuse should NEVER be glamorized. If people poised on public fame status abuse drugs because they can't handle the pressures of such public exposure, then they should NEVER be famous.
I don't believe Connor is a cocaine addict; she's just a niaeve girl who entered a new lifestyle, made a few mistakes and is getting stopped BEFORE such mistakes become a permanent tragic part of her lifestyle. Let her go to rehab and meet REAL coke and crack addicts who carry their addictions for life like the Devil's hell on living earth; let her face people who lost loved ones to violent death from embracing such illegal drugs....and maybe on a personal level we won't see, she'll learn a hard lesson. And **sigh** yes: she'll make the Oprah appearance and probably become the "comeback from hitting the skids" role model, heaping on more fame......

As we all know and are aware, some of the accusations given to Tara Miss USA 2006, were false. How ever she did violate alot of Rules that were given to her. And missed some apperances since she said she felt sick, but in fact it was nothing but hang overs. The Miss Universe Organization and Donald Trump gave Miss USA another chance, since she is now a role model and can give more than she can ever give. And also Why let some one go and probably get more ruin when you can help her, and let her be an example to America, that alcoholism and drug addiction can be cure in the US

She is supposed to represent this country...what a great image right....no she does not deserve to wear that crown. She is tarnishing it's shine and the image of what and who Miss USA is. I mean they are basically saying that hey it's ok to do drugs, all you have to do is cry and apologize and everything will be ok. Well in my book there should be some sort of punishment...take back the crown.

They gave her a second chance for doing drugs, under age drinking and making out with another girl in public. So now what you have to do to get the crown taking away? commit murder! molest a child! Because you can't take away the next Miss USA crown for doing drugs and getting drunk in public and making out at a club. She have to do something worst to get the crown taken away.

Well there were other miss USA that didn't get that break and they just got canned, and you know what, yes people deserve second chances but only the chosen few....Vanessa Williams didn't have the second chance and thank God she surpassed their expectations, and she became a beautiful singer,, star, and mother of 4, I believe, the pageant is a farce.

Her tears when she was "apologizing" looked like crocodile tears.
I mean, she was charged with underage drinking and a make-out session with the Montana contestant in public.
These "models" are no model to society. I'm very skeptical about whether she really deserved a 2nd chance. I really don't think she did.
