Find out what the source is first, then treat it. You must have water leaking from the roof or gutter and it is permeating the door. This mold is on the inside? Inside the house? Is there a water leak in the door? Is it an old door? Get your gutters cleaned, have someone inspect the exterior, determine the source and fix it. A variety of household cleaners will remove the mold temporarily but you must find the source first and fix it and then voila, the mold will disappear!

You will only be able to wipe the mould off with an anti-fungal cleaner at the moment. When the warmer weather eventually arrives and dries the door out strip the varnish or paint and use an anti-fungal paint from any d i y store.

Bleach...Tilex...Mould removers in bottles. If it's in the paint you will have to repaint with KILZ...(it's the only paint I know that will keep mould from forming.)

Try mopping it with bleach - about 1/2 cup to 1 gallon. If that doesn't work, then make it stronger using more bleach.

I've heard that an option for prevention is oil of cloves. If you're pregnant you'd have to check that it's safe to use.
