Even if he likes sports it doesn't mean he needs any sports stuff as gifts. I suggest that you find out what majority 14 years old boys like. But let's just say he likes football,you might wanna buy him a T-Shirt of his football favourite team. Whatever you buy for him, it's the thoughts that counts.

The football Idea could actually be kind of cute-- if you wrote a message on it or something?
My boyfriend and I always make mix cd's too ha ha make him a sports mix (although that might be kind of hard...)

low: cute homemade cupons for simple things like a kiss or hug...et
middle: a hat,shirt or some type of clothing with his fav team logo on it
high: a ticket to a fav game

get him a football or a baseball or soccer ball ect
get him one and write something cute on it, along with a ticket to something, a university game, perhaps?
