WE all know why we are in Iraq but as you are not going to believe anything said, then we will all just say Bush started the war just to piss off YOU! Happy now?

Most certainly!. Those of his close aides and those in the military-industrial-complex who surround him and feed continuously that he (Bush) should champion all the down-trodden and those who are governed by 'evil'l leaders such as Saddam. The simpleton that he is, Bush's ego of being the saviour and the promoter of democarzy (yes democrazy) just laps up the ideas (having no original or indnependent thinking of his own) and forges ahead, selling the compliant US legislatures to authorise war. Even lapdog Blair, another who thought he would be recognised in history, was roped in to blare along Not for a second, not even now, does he realise that he has been made a patsy and those around him are just using him for their own economic gains. Too late some thinking Americans realise they have been led up the garden path and now try desperately to get out "honourably" but it is way too late. America is mired in a quagmire of its own "willing" creation. The earlier it recognises complete defeat, the more lives, American and others, would be saved and less devastation will be inflicted on what remains of Iraq. There is no other recourse. Problem with America is that it seldom has many thinking presidents and now it just has a puppet for one, being jiggled and juggled every which way and none the wiser ever. It is just sad that the USA is foisted a so-called President who is not even totally legitmately elected (his brother highjacked the election, remember?) So yes, there are still those who still believe Bush and his democrazy - all created by spin-doctors to serve some grand economic agenda. About time America woke up!!!

I know, it's quiet sad and ridiculous. He started this war for practically NO reason. We found NO weapons of Mass Destruction. Bush lied to us, to our faces, even to those conservatives that believed in him...SO many Americans died...but worse is that the Iraqi civilians have to suffer....and you know the latest trend in Iraq? The upper middle and upper classes are moving away from Iraq to differnt countries, which leaves Iraq with poor/ lower classes...and this really sucks for the economy. It might take a Iraq a long time to actually get a democracy working efficiently.

No it's not in the name of Democracy, It's in the name of George W. Bush. Just keep in mind when Bush removed Hussein from power, the first gun fire was from Americans, thanks to Bush's order. To this very day, people are still getting killed over there. Since the Bush was is over why don't he bring back our American soldiers? Bush don't want that. Bush wants total control of Iraq, something else that he can add to his collection of greed,

I'm sure that there are a few un-informed nuts who still believe that Iraq has WMDs. No, really there still are people who believe he had nukes, no joke.

But does that make them right or legit? Of course not, that's why we have a name for them. They're called conspiracy theorists. The belief that Bush invaded Iraq for democracy is nothing more than a played out conspiracy theory that no one takes seriously.

There are quite a few americans i have seen on this site who staunchly support the war. Some believe the weapons were actually found, Some believe the Iraqi's started the war and are all terrorists. Strange. Hope they all wake up some day.

If you havent been to iraq, then shut up.
Dont you wonder why there is only a handful of soldiers that protest the war? its not vietnam, its iraq, and the death rate (2 deaths per day) is only 2% of what it was in vietnam for US soldiers. A typical week in vietnam killed 100 to 200 soldiers. the average civilian death rate was about 1300 per day in vietnam, for the entire 15 years. Iraq is larger, and the death rate is about 120 per day, or about 3 times the murder rate in the UK or the US ( both16000 per year). This war isnt even in the top 70 most deadly wars.

In the US, there are 1.3 million people who WILL die from aids. thats as many people as serve in the military, but the people in the military arent all going to die. I am much more concerned about that.

I never believed it had to do with anything other than OIL. That is why there was never an exit strategy....he never intended to leave. Look at all of the bases that are being set up as well as the city that has been built which is the size of Vatican City!
