This is a very dangerous service to let running. Remote access allow you or anybody else to connect to your pc from another pc and to have access to your pc. This remote access is for people who want to access their at-home pc from work or if you have a problem with your pc, you call tech support and they need access to your pc from another pc. Spyware or virus can be introduced to your pc if you let this services running. I would suggest you disable it completely and turn it on only a need to basis. Go start, control panel, performance & maintenance, system and select the Remote Tab. On this screen you must remove the 2 checkmark from the 2 boxes that said Allow Remote Assistance and Allow user to connect remotely. Click OK and you're done.

There many ways to do this.

But to make simple.
1) They find a security flaw and get some softwareinto your computer system. (Sometimes the flaw is what you do, not in the computer itself).
2) This can then do various things, such as gather information and transmit it.

Some ways have included Trojans, which are software you download thinking it is something good, but is really bad. Viruses, which cooy themselves onto your computer. Worms, which in recent history generally infect your web browser. This means, when you close your web browser the worm is deleted. But while the web browswer is open it could track what you are doing in open browswer windows (eg, logging into your bank account) and steal and your information.

VPN is a virtual privet network.

Pinfo Dialer is from porn surfing. It is in your registry so when you restart your computer it comes back.

I suggest that you get XoftSpy and Windows Defender and run full system scans with both of those.

I'm not quite sure what you mean, but if you have a firewall installed (the generic windows firewall will do) and some antivirus software running, you should be alright. That should be enough to detect spyware and such. Although, you may want to download a program called Adaware from download.com to scan your system for any spyware and remove it.
