I have heard the first baby boys look like their mothers and first baby girls look like their fathers.

I have also heard that first baby boys look like their mother's brothers and first baby girls look like their father's sisters.

Has anyone else heard this and how true is it?

I have two boys and both of mine look like their dad. I am puerto rican he is WHITE LOL. I have black hair, he has blonde. I have brown eyes, he has blue. My boys are WHITE :) with blonde hair and blue eyes. Everyone said they just knew they would look like me, because dark hair, eyes etc are dominant. We were all surprised. No one knows what your baby will look like till he/she gets here. My boys are BEAUTIFUL and yours will be too.

The truth is, there is no truth to who or what they will look like. There is a 50.005% chance that it will be a boy, and the rest is all up to genetics. Some genes from the mother mix with some genes from the father, and what you get is a unique individual. What matters is what genes each parent is carrying and whether or not those genes are dominant or recessive. Predicting what a baby will look like is near to impossible at the moment.

what i have found is that if the first child is a boy then he will look like the father, then the next child no matter what it is will look like the opposite parent, mother in this case, then the next child will look like the father again, then the cycle will start over no matter what they are, its in a group of three, so if the first is a boy and you have six kids then the first will look like the father, the second like the mother, third like the father, fourth like the father, fifth like the mother and sixth like the father. Now if the first one is a girl then it will be opposite, first one girl will look like the mother, then the second like the father, third like the mother, fourth like the mother, fifth like the father, sixth like the mother.
I found this out because I studied my family and other peoples families, now im not saying that they look exactly like their parents but they they look more like them.

I've heard that when a baby is first born, they'll look like their father because that was a way of determining paternity before dna and blood tests were done.

Robin Williams said new borns looked like a 90 year old dipped in 40 weight motor oil.
That was probably not any help but I always found it to be funny

its all a myth that the baby looks more like one than the other on a consistant basis

splitting chromosomes dont know or care if they are for the first baby or last...

people always think they baby looks more like the parent they are closer too.. for example my parents always thought my daughter looked more like me.. my husbands family always said the baby looked more like him..
fact is - does it really matter?? I found their comments rude to be honest with you.. she looks like herself.. she has half his DNA half mine.. she is herself

girls and boys dont get more DNA or less DNA from either parent based on gender...
sheeesh...
