Too many game shows now! I hate "show me the money"

Just saw Identity tonight for the first time, and it is horrible. As a game, there is little to no skill involved, and as show, it reinforces stereotypes. For example, the "sushi chef" was a Japanese guy dressed as...a Japanese sushi chef. That's like guessing what people are for Halloween after seeing their costumes.

And another thing that pissed me off was that tonight's show had two celebrities, Stan Lee and Maurice Greene (who the contestant called Marion Jones!). Doesn't having celebrities defeat the purpose of a game where you're trying to guess the profession of a stranger? This show is completely lame.

It was interesting, but I don't think it has lasting appeal.

Based on the first episode, after the first 4 or 5, it's just too hard to figure out, so I think most people will leave with the money too early. Because there won't be anyone trying for the really high $$, it won't keep the public's interest for long.

I don't love it but I did enjoy trying to figure people out myself.
It turns out that I'm actually really bad at it because, for example on tonight's episode, I was certain everyone's appearance was going to be deceptive -- but they all pretty much looked and dressed the way you would think!

i dont think it will get anywhere near what 'deal or no deal' is. i kind of liked the first time but i think that people will soon get sick of it and it will be canceled. why? no howie, no models, no ratings. identity is a game you can play when you and your buddies are oberving random people on the street.

I didn't like it at all.

I don't really care for Penn Teller and the overall concept seems cheesey to me.
*Oh lets put 10 people on a stage and have other people judge them soley based on their appearance.*
We already have enough Miss USAs, America, Universes = paegents for that...

It's okay, don't like Penn. Glad to see the guy win the big bucks Tues.
