The former Italian Prime Minister recently had heart surgery in Ohio USA. Why would he go all the way to Ohio? Is the Italian/European healthcare system really that bad?

If you are very wealthy, you can afford best care in all the world.

If the most eminent medical team for Berlusconi's heart problem is in USA, he go in USA and get it.

But this has nothing to do with a overall estimate about a country health system.

According WHO reports and in contrast with common knowledge, USA has health services worse than most western countries.

My landlord when I lived in Germany didn't think it was so good. I guess it depends on what you want. If you want a system that drives medical breakthroughs then its terrible. If you want a system that covers everyone now but has to wait for others to make breakthroughs and lacks a future for your posterity,then I suppose it's a good system.

the european healthcare system is OK, the Italian one is lacking though

1. No their system is pretty good. It is you just have to wait.
2. We have the most advanced hospital in the world. If our doctors can help you no one can.

the british have had a good healtj care system for years just not a good dental care program they are known all over this planet for there bad teeth.
