I may be ignorant of some news story on the topic, but I haven't heard of any in years . And I can't help but wonder why some people equate the bombings of some abortion clinics and the threat from Radical Islam to wipe out our entire populace !!
Sure, I know the clinic bombings were wrong, but how does that equate with total destruction . Nevermind the fact that the threat from Radical Islam is here and NOW !!!

Do you think these two are EQUAL ?? How about CURRENT and how about EQUAL IN SIZE ???

you're comparing apples to oranges...

USUALLY when someone makes the comparison, maybe not always but usually, it's when you're talking about "Islam" as a religion vs. other religions... with people saying... "All Islam does is bomb people and Christianity never did anything"...

which you also have the OKC bombing...

but, I don't think the threat is exactly the same though... but there are radicals in each...

I think the Islamic terrorists have an edge... but at the same time... al-queda is the only real threat I see... everyone else is much more concerned with Israel and have not attacked America in a long, long time

just exactly what kind of threat do you see happening here? from who... and on what scale?

radical islam is a big group...

Of course they aren't equal, or even comparable, save simply each being an action driven by religious mania. I think most people understand the threat of Radical Islam. The argument lies more in the details of exactly how we should deal with it.

"Do you think these two are EQUAL ??"

They're not equal but you choose a bad example. There are other things that are equal if not worse. For example, DUI kills more people than Islamic extremists. Why hasn't the government done anything dramatic to change that? The illegal drug industry kills more people than Islamic extremists. Why hasn't the government done anything to change that? The soaring US murder rate kills 5 times more people in the US (EVERY YEAR) than the 9/11 terrorist attacks. That's about 15,000 murders every year compared to 3,000 killed in 2001, 5 years ago. That means that since '01, approx. 75,000 Americans were killed in the US by both organized and random crime. That's 75,000 compared to a couple thousand killed by Islamic extremists. So tell me, why won't the *Decider* George W. Bush do anything to fight crime in the US? All crimes, rapes, etc. . .in the US for the past 3 years will kill and TERRORIZE more people than all of Al-Qaeda's major attacks in the past 20+ years. And what has the government done about it? NOTHING! Except make empty promises and allow the crime rate to increase. The threat that Islamic extremists pose is serious. But, it is not nearly as serious as the threat that organized crime and the drug trade pose to American society.

To answer your question: I don't know when the last time was. But I don't ever use it as an example nor do I equate it with Islamic extremism.

Food for thought: All the nutcases who went around blowing up abortion clinics and killing doctors, 1. Did not believe in murder (so what is killing a doctor or nurse, collateral damage?) 2. Most were Christian Conservatives - the type of people who voted for George W. Bush. Scary isn't it?

The 2 are hard to compare...except both are done by extremists that are trying to justify which death is better. Scary!!
