Yes homosexuality has existed during ancient times.

Here are examples:
The National Geographic Society found, in1964, a tomb created during the old kingdom in Egypt that belonged to two ancient Egyptian royal manicurists. There was even a picture in relief of these two men depicted in an intimate embrace. See the web page below.

Homosexuality was also accepted in Greece and Rome. I read during my Literature class in college that Older Greek and Roman men Seek younger to share the lessons in life, which includes the lessons of love and sex. During these time it was also believed that women were only used as baby makers.

The most popular gay love story to have ever come out of that era was that of Emperor Hadrian and Antinous. Antinous was the the love of the Empero's life but drown accidentaly in the river Nile. Their Love story is too long to write so check out the webpage below if you are interested.

Enjoy.

It wasn't known as homosexuality. It was considered much more natural and even preferred in some societies. Preferred because it often gave young men a way to make contacts with established business leaders and politicians, a mentorship even. So, it being an "abnormal one" is something that came along in the last 2,000 years with christianity and islam, both pretty hateful religions.
