Both kinds of terrorists feel they have been wronged by the U.S. government. If we wanted to we could make excuses for both. One thinks he is helping his people and his homeland and the other (Rudolph)thinks he is helping unborn children. In reality, aren't they both just as evil? Some people in U.S. though seem quick to sympathize with and make excuses for foreign terrorists and not domestic ones. Why is this?

They are the same. Some may think that because they are Americans that there is a difference but if Rudolpf and McVeigh had as much money and were able to influence the numbers of people that Bin Laden has/can, they would have probably been a bigger threat. Thank God they were caught when they were.

The "home grown" are mostly trying to make a politicial statement. They want to get their view out there for everyone to see and try to convice others that they are right. Their "target" is generally goverment facilities or a specific person. They, in some cases, believe they are doing what they are doing out of love of their country or other people.
The bin Laden's are religious fanatics who are trying to either convert or kill all of the 'infidels' (anyone who doesn't beleive in Islam). What they do, they do because of hate.

Doesn't make either one right!

McVeigh wanted to punish the US government.

Bin Laden wants to punish the US government, even if he has to punish some citizens to do it.

Rudolph is a nut job that claims to be pro life yet went around murdering people.

McVeigh and Rudolph used violence to make political statements.

Bin Laden and crew are convinced we are a morally corrupt society that threatens their idyllic version of Islam, and want us all either converted to Islam or dead.

Big difference...

terror is a tactic. that's all. bin laden and mcviegh were both trained by the US govt.

as to your point about foreign terrorists, i don't know anyone who makes excuses for them. however, it may be easier to understand why someone who comes from a part of the world with legitimate grievances against your country might use those grievances to manipulate masses to gain power than to understand why someone who was raised in your country would attack it. and then there's poor john walker lindh. what a fiasco.

have been you attempting to be humorous? This replaced into approximately as undesirable as once you maintain repeating the way you "throw rocks" at people perpetually such as you haven't any longer reported that distinctive circumstances in the past.
