Yes, you can use hydrogen peroxide: 1 tsp for each 10 lbs of body weight. It is extremely important to contact the vet immediately, since the consumption of chocolate, which contains theobromine, can be fatal to a dog, especially dark chocolate (i.e., baker's chocolate). The outcome depends on the size of the dog and the amount and type of chocolate consumed. Vomiting should be induced within 4-6 hours of consumption. If more time has elapsed, use activated charcoal, which is available from your pharmacy. ( Note: It is not the kind you use in a BarBQ).

NO, sometimes inducing vomiting will only worsen things. also depends on how long ago the dog ate the choc whether it will still be in his stomach or not. You need to get the dog to the Vet ASAP, only this person can deal with your pet in the right way. although people on here are only wanting to help, they are not Vet's and can't/legally tell you the right thing to do. Please take your pet to the vet. good luck

I've never heard of using hydrogen peroxide, we have induced vomiting with salt water - 1 litre + 5 tsp salt - use a squirt bottle and hold muzzle closed, insert the nozzle in the side of the dogs' cheek pocket, and rub throat to encourage swallowing.

Yes it is safe. As all the other answers have said, start with a tsp to Tbsp and go from there. You still want to call your vet and advise them of the situation though. Depending on what he ate (what specific type of chocolate, milk vs dark vs bakers), they may want to see him. They each have different toxicity to dogs.

Take your dog to the vet. Chocolate is poison and he needs treatment!

Chocolate doesn't really hurt dogs unless they are small and have sensitive stomachs. Hell no, do not use hydrogen peroxide, I work for a vet, if you cannot take him to the vet, use everclear, just a shotglass full down his throat. your best bet if he is acting sick is to take him to the vet, but if he ain't acting sick, leave him be.

Yes.Give it to your dog at about a teaspoon at a time, until it begins to vomit, but don't pour it into the dog's mouth,as he could inhale it and get pneumonia.Just be careful.
