my computer has no sound unless i have a game or something on a disk. no sound anywere else what should i do?

my power supply died and killed my mother board got that fixed and now no sound unless on a disk. everything is turned on.

I think you worried too much.
If sound came out while playing games then your com is alright.
Goto your sound theme and select one.

I'd recommend either using the CD that came with your sound card, (if you have that on hand), or else downloading the driver for the card via the card's manufacturer's website. Install the driver and hopefully you'll get your sound back.
