I'm in highschool, and in all 7 of my classes, there are only 2 gay guys in all, neither of them are attractive, but I feel I'm ready to start dating guys. Where are good places to meet gay boys? (I'm not a pedophile or a rapist, I just feel I'm ready to take the next step as a gay teen)

There should be a glbt center in your city if you live in a city of any size. I would stay away from the bar scene.

I noticed on your avatar that your name is azkid, well if you live in Arizona then you are fortunate to have the 1 n 10 group available. A youth group 14-22 that meets in Phoenix. I have sent you their website. You can also start your own club through GLSEN-Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network. Website is below. And also what about getting involved with your community that is a good way to meet other gay teens as well. Such as with PFLAG-Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays. They always need teens to share their experiences with new comers. So you can really do alot of good for your community and also meet people along the way with the same interests. You know when your not looking is when you will find someone.
PS. Please don't equate yourself with pedophiles or rapists just because your gay. It's very difficult for gay teens to find safe places to go too. Just ask someone that is 21 and gay, they will probably tell you that they go to gay bars alot. It is common, and more safe places for gay teens need to be established. My son is gay and when he came out he was to young to go to bars. So he got involved in the gay community as an advocate with GLSEN, 1n10 and PFLAG. GLSEN and PFLAG are national so if you live in another state check and see where your local meetings are held. Hope this has helped.

I don't know what state you are in, but a gay friend of my sons, said that in Florida schools they had started a gay and lesbian awareness class, after school and was held indoors, he joined it and loved it....everyone is welcomed gay or straight....if something like that can be started in your high school, maybe talking to the guidance counselor, it would be a good way to meet more gays in a secure location, as you are still under age and could easily find problems going to clubs where older men, would be more then happy to oblige....think about it....I thougt it was a great opportunity for him, a place where he could be himself and not be judged. Good Luck, see if you can organize something like that in your school....especially now that more and more young teens are coming out, they should at least be safe.

Befriend the other 2 gay guys in your class. I'm not saying date them I'm saying befriend them. Then they can show you good gay boy places to go.

You should also check if your school has a GSA (Gay-Straight Alliance). That way, you'll be able to meet or date guys your age while getting moral support from your straight peers. You'll also be killing two birds with one stone. ;)

You could try Mogenic.com to find local LGBT teens in your area. It works pretty well and it's only for teens. Good luck and I hope you find someone in your area.
