Someone has asked me to tutor her two high school kids in algebra-II and pre-calc. Any ideas as to how much to charge per hour for tutoring both? I am a college senior with a strong math background.

My parents paid $25 per hour for my high school math tutor. I would say $35 per hour if you're teaching two kids. For that price you should come prepared with exercises and answer keys prepared to supplement what the students are doing in school. Knock $5 per hour off that price if you don't yet have an undergraduate degree.

call community highschools and ask to communicate the pinnacle of the maths dept. clarify which you're prepared to coach math pupils, and ask in case you need to head away your quantity with the maths instructors. advise that he ought to announce it on the subsequent dept assembly or bypass it directly to the top point instructors. (start up out at $20 or $25 and drop it down from there whilst needed - you will discover that once you will desire to commute to libraries and homes, commute costs upload up without put off and an hour many times will become 80 minutes!) additionally positioned up indications in grocery shops with bulletin boards, or touch the PTA and ask the lecturers you communicate to in the event that they have any strategies. visit a print save - for $20 you may get one thousand business enterprise enjoying cards revealed up. stable success

$20/hour if you are tutoring them both at the same time. $15/hour per kid if you are doing it separately.
