Okay, I'm sorry I spelled moral the wrong way. I was watching my nine month old daughter, who I didn't abort ( because I'm a single parent)! I am very sorry for all of you that took offense. I WILL pray for you!

In my humble opinion, anytime you attempt to make your morals the ONLY choice that is right, you have made an immoral choice. God gave humans free will. He gave us the rules to live by. It is up to each individual to follow those rules if you are a Christian. If you are Buddhist, then those rules do not apply. If you do not live in the US and its society then the morals are different. Where we think it terrible if a girl is married at the age of 14-16 in rural Mexico if she is not then by the age of 18, she is considered an "old maid". So who's morals are you going to use? This country was founded on freedom of speech and the "moral majority" does not need to pray for anyone who asks questions that offends them. You can if you want to this is a free country after all, but you don't have any responsibility to do so.

No. If you are in fact a representative of the "Moral" Majority:
1. Do yourself and the rest of us a favor and pray for the strength to re-educate yourselves on what morality really is.
2. In case you have forgotten, and it is blazingly apparent that you have, we live in America. If you feel it necessary to pray for everyone you don't agree with, so be it. However, it is a slap in the face of every person in this country who has the strength and integrity to stand up for what they believe in. It is all to easy to condemn other people in the name of God. All one has to do is look at the past. Hell, look at the present. Seems to me that the "Moral" Majority and the terrorists have alot in common. You are all fanatical in your beliefs and to hell with anyone who disagrees with you.
3. Who was it that coined the phrase "Moral Majority"? In my opinion, there's nothing moral about anything you stand for. ("You" meaning all of you).
4. When you say that "YOU" stand for morality, I assume that you mean God and family. Let's take a look at what that really means... Anyone who doesn't believe in "your" God or "your" idea of what a family should be, is condemned to eternal damnation. What's even worse than that is "you" condemn them here on earth.
5. So, "you", as the "Moral" (ha) Majority, can keep on praying for all "we" care. What would be nice... is if "you" would follow the laws of the land and allow everyone else the same freedoms that "you" enjoy, unfortunately, if it were up to "you", the rest of us wouldn't have any (freedom).

WOW!! I doubt seriously that I'm going to get ten points out of this, but I've gotta tell ya, this "Politics and Government" section is way more fun than the "Religion and Sprituality" section. Thanks!

I thought morals including being humble. You sound like a selfish fool who puts yourself on a pedestal. Don't worry, though. Your faith isn't the right one, whatever it is. God's perfect, remember? He obviously doesn't want His followers being jerks. But keep pretending you're the better person.

{Edit}

Didn't abort? Well good for you! But your poor daughter is playing on the floor while mommy writes questions online to proove how special she is to her god. Since when did not agreeing with something mean that you have pray for it? That's not only ridiculous but it's blatant demonization (pardon the pun). If you disagree with me that's fine. But don't claim that I'm going to hell because I disagree with YOU. Who are YOU? A human... just like me. We're equal. We will be in the afterlife too. Aw poor baby doesn't want equality in heaven? Some should burn in hell? I thought followers of religion were supposed to be caring and understanding.

God Bless.

moral majority or not...

I think we all have a responsibility to pray for everyone... especially those we don't agree with... and to love them... and make an attempt to understand them...

everyone makes mistakes... even those in the moral majority... and everyone is just trying to do the best they can for the most part...

you sound like you're a single mom and people probably judge you because of it... and I bet that's no fun... but don't make that mistake and judge others... learn from your experiences and become a better person...

love others and leave the judging to God... you can still have your opinions and disagree with others... but that doesn't mean you don't love them...

Last time I heard the term "Moral Majority", there was nothing moral or majority about it. But for those wanting to believe they're in the mainstream, it was good enough.

Anyway, pray for who ever you want, whether their views are in accordance with yours or not.

Personally, I'm not so sure you people who call yourselves "the moral majority" have enough morality or intelligence to pray for anyone but yourselves. SO, please get off your moral high horse and explain to me how in God's name you can disagree with a question.

No. It is rather silly to pray for such things. Opinions are opinions, and people are people. We should leave it at that without putting down on the things we disagree with.

Yes, surely I agree with you as I agree with the paraphrase that says-- I'd fight for your right to disagree with me. How's that. Hope you agree.
