I have heard that if someone (even a person that you consider a friend) feels envious in of you, that they can curse you w/ their bad thoughts. I am not talking about magic - I mean mind power. For example, I consider myself an average looking female, but I have a very outgoing personality. I get along with everyone. I have a friend - who refuses to join me for lunch if I go with certain people - or she will ask "why do you talk to that person- they are weird". Our job is very competative and she and I are both applying for the same promotions. I think that we are on an even level, except that sometimes she comes across as a snob or arrogant. I on the other hand treat everyone with respect unless they have treated me other wise. She will make comments about male co-workers asking me to lunch or buying me snacks. She will tell me not to eat the snacks becuz I shouldnt trust them. Sometimes I think that she is jealous. I have been really sick lately & drs cant find whats wrong.

Well, to be quite honest, what do you think magic is but mind power/mind energy?

Any sort of feeling, deeply hidden and repressed, almost always comes out indirectly. What could be happening is that the strain of constantly fending off your friend's comments and advice is psycho-somatically making you ill. It's kind of like the sick-feeling-in-your-stomach dread you feel when visiting someone you don't get along with. That's a real feeling, because the realization of your visit releases acids and other chemicals prior to your visit.

Because those chemicals don't remain, and the damage they do is incremental (sic), the doctor of course isn't going to find anything wrong with you. And the release of those chemicals can throw your immune system off enough so that it's more suceptible to colds and other ailments. Also, because you are meeting this person every day, your brain is constantly releasing certain chemicals that stimulate and react to those unexpressed feelings, which in turn are stimulating chemicals elsewhere within.

What you need to do is forcefully clear the air with your friend. You need to push back against her 'advice' because your passive absorbtion of it will only further stimulate your problems. If the problem is the upcoming promotion, decide within yourself if you want the promotion more than you want the friendship, because it could be your friend is dying for the promotion to help cover up some insecurity. Competitive people usually only find reassurance in winning, so maybe the thought of losing to you is opening up an ugly can of worms within her. She may even be helpless (in the sense that, because the insecurity is so deeply buried) to realize what she is doing, and such destructiveness is being directed outward to prevent it from occuring inward.

Just my opinion.

I agree with the other poster...you should distance yourself from this person. They sound like an emotional vampire. Negative energy can have a very real affect on people and can be physically and emotionally draining. This can result in sickness, headaches, fatigue, etc.

Also, you need to stop trying to "figure out" why this person is negative and why they are acting this way toward you. You sound like a good person that treats others well, that's all that should matter to you. Don't concern yourself with the reasons for this person's negative attitude. That's how they are sucking you in and getting to you.

People can only affect you if you allow them to.

Have you considered meditation or prayer as a way to combat the negative affects this individual has on you?

Good luck!

Many believe in the harming powers of envy, muslims, for example, have it as a clear fact in the holy Qur'an, which makes it a true fact to them. Other societies do not believe in that codswallop, but modern science have hints that there may be such a thing.

there are 2 forces in the world. Good and evil. [not meaning to sound like Star Wars]. Just like in the cartoons there is sort of a little angel whispering to us on one side and a devil on the other. Satan may be using your friend's feelings against you. If you are not a Christian please pray to become one. After that pray for God's help in this situation. Best wishes!

I believe that if you put a thought into your head and have enough faith in, or fear of it, it is quite likely to come true. Try to focus on positive thoughts like getting the getting well. Remember that God Almighty will help us if we'd just trust Him instead of relying on our own thoughts and the opinions of others.

Yes, a person can influence your health in ways you can't immediately detect. The best way to prevent this is to create distance between you and your 'friend'. You should avoid this girl as much as possible.

fairly obtrusive do no longer you think of? Your undertaking is the rigidity between you and hubby. call it nazar in case you like, however the secret's there is rigidity from the jealousy your hubby reviews once you're considered in public or on facebook and he hears all the compliment of elegance heaped on you.

The sickness is probably purely coincidental, unless your "friend" is poisoning you. More like, she may be poisoning your mind, and you may be sick of her.

You have the free choice to accept or reject anyone's 'thought and feeling' projections.
