Beautiful. ...The colour red features prominantly in his films, always as a signifier, so Christmas is perfect. It would be rich and decadent - even more so. Santa would be an imposing figure with kind eyes but perhaps a little too traditional looking not to be unnerving and the reindeer would probably be likewise - minus the kind eyes.
Unless he decides to shoot it to the gangster genre formula, in which case: Santa's shoes would feature in an inordinate amount of shots, which would serve to help us track his rise to power and his subsequent fall. He would be the 'businessman' with a glimmer of compassion, the elves would be his captains and Mrs Clause would be neglected but stand by her man. Before you know it he gets greedy, people close to him start dropping off and he ends up skint and alone.
