Gifts are very important- but not only to be given on a certain date or to hold monetary value. I think gifts can truly be given from the heart(not just bought). The value of a person can not be measured by how much their gift costs- but how we treat each other. Be kind to your fellow human beings because in the end that is what truly matters.
Have a Very
Merry Christmas!

It's the thought put into the "gift" even if it's just a greeting or a hug. Otherwise it's not really important to give gifts, although in present days it's more of an expectation than it should be.

its not super important because technically u shouldn't have to give gifts, maybe just a card or something to show people your love. However, the gifts at christmas time are all about giving, so its a really nice thing to do. it doesnt have to be an expensive or large gift. its the thought that counts

Some people seem to think so. I enjoy the spirit of the holiday and spending time with my family, relaxing or celebrating with friends more than any gift. We only buy for the young kids now.

Yes it is important to give a type of gift to someone because that is what the wise men did and we need to follow their act of generostity because all the rest of the year we think about ourselves.

Children seem to think it's important. Most adults do it out of obligation or to show off how much they can top the next person. If the love and money is there, by all means, give! give! give!

The gift doesn't necessarily have to be bought. The value of the gift is in the giving.
