this is a site that you sign up to and sign up to a couple affiliates and then they give you a free domain name sounds too good to be true any body tried it?

well you could try if all they ask for is an email, just make a hotmail email and sign up, if its too good to be true you've only lost a hotmail account to spam.

I don't know anyone who's used that service. But I'd read the fine prints FIRST if I were you:

Hmm, the rules look simple enough:

"Domain Lagoon will register all domains in the name of their members. The domain is 100% the members.

The rules are simple, have fun, use it for legal purposes only, and do not spam. As long as you follow these rules you will not have any issues."

But:

"Domain Lagoon will register the domain for you for 1 full year after your successful completion of the required amount of points. If you wish to keep the domain after the 1 year mark, you may earn more points during month 11-12 of the registration or pay a discounted renewal fee of $9.99 per year."

Goes to show there's really no free lunch. :P
