each generation has thought the same thing at their time of existence. and yes, we will; though it may get ugly at times.

Well - I normally leave answers that are a bit more detailed - but I have a very short answer for this one...

We are doomed - have been since mankind began (bible says so)

Think about it - YES - we are the most powerful and destructive - but before this current generation, the generation before us was the most powerful and destructive (and so on).

Every generation goes through a period where they believe mankind is coming to an end during their generation - but it never does. This is really going to surprise everyone the day it actually happens.

Do I think it will happen in my life time? Don't know really - I hope not - but the end WILL come for mankind at some point.

i think the Day of the lord which is described as both "terrible" and glorious will be a day of judgment where all things that offend will be destroyed and all wicked people will be ashes under the feet of the righteous and the meek will inherit the earth.

in that day there will be a remnant of people who will survive.
However, there is sub-level promise that if fulfilled the destruction of the planet will and can be turned around. It says that if the WORK of the LORD is cut short in righteousness. So in fact, while the majority of prophesy says destruction and fire and brimstone! there is a nehemiah principle in force as well. if the entire population were to Repent and Believe, than you Might See the second coming of the messiah to be totally glorious for all who are alive. theoretically it is possible to NOT destroy ourselves. but i wont hold my breath, there is too much evil on the planet with the antichrist and the church of satan and too many believers that follow satan and call him lord instead of following the lambs church. see rev 18:4 and verse 23

I do not believe mankind will survive for many more generations. We are indeed destructive, to each other and to our planet and its resources. It's only a matter of time before we destroy ourselves. There are many ways we could accomplish this, so it's impossible to predict how long it will take, but I believe that it will happen sooner, not later.

Certainly not! You humans have done nothing but cause Trouble with a capital T! You are incompetent beyond hope. You would have killed each other off 120,000 years ago if it wasn't for the intervention of my people. If I were you I would submit your pathetic flesh to the will of my Noble Empire. I shall rule over your weak flesh and you will be well fed and clothed until the breaking of the sky.

So what do you say?....
