you shampoo shag carpets with a rotary shampooer then it's best to rinse and extract with a steam cleaner. A professional carpet cleaner will have the right equipment for this and will probably cost less then if you try to rent the machines and buy the solutions needed. They do give free estimates so check it out.

You can go to a grocery and get a Rug Doctor -- they'll clean most carpets, I suppose. Or you could get some of that spray on shampoos --- but I recommend the rug doctor.

Rug shampoo. Then I'd touch up the sides with a little shaving cream and a razor.

resolve is the best stuff I've seen for carpets.

It comes in a red spray bottle.

You can pay for a cleaning service. It's a good idea, especially if you're not sure about how to handle it.

i would suggest a carpet cleaner but it may suck the hair up in it. BOL

Use a small vacume cleaner. My dad always uses one. It works!!!!.

Brush it, then shampoo and condition. Blow dry and style as necessary.
