I very seldom ask someone to follow me into the bathroom (it's just one of those unwritten social rules I ignore most of the time)
But I notice when another woman asks me to go with her to the ladies room, it is to talk about something. Either to gossip or just ask if she looks alright. Sometimes it is for morale. Most women are very social and hate to be alone in social situations. If you feel uncomfortable at a party, it is easier to escape to the ladies room with a friend for a short break, and to "get yourself together".

We talk about the people we're with, the people around us, we ask each other if our makeup and hair still look okay, we adjust our undergarments, we put on lipstick and powder, maybe a little more perfume, we blow our nose, we check our behinds for panty lines, we pee, wash our hands, and then come out. It's an ancient female bonding ritual that mothers have been passing down to their daughters since the beginning of indoor plumbing.

Just to have someone to talk about anything while doing your thing or re touching make up and to ask them afterwards if you like fine. It would feel "lonely" with the bathroom so silent, and creepy too.

Women go to the bathroom together sometimes to talk about things they do not want men to hear. It could be to check and make sure a person hasn't has a menstaul accident or walk out with toilet paper on their shoe. Sometimes it is just because there is safety in numbers.

I'd like to know the answer to that question too. Whenever a friend asks me to go with her, I say no. I prefer to use the restroom alone. You need moral support in the hospital, not on the toilet!

Because you may need someone to hold the door shut or block a huge gap between the stall door and the frame. No, really!

usually talk on the way to and back and while wasing our hand. it makes the time go by a lot faster when there's a line.

for some reason being with someone makes people more comfortable.

I go alone, but the women in there who go in pairs or groups just chat, gossip and groom, occasionally they will use the facilities.
