My teacher has defintions but they make no sense what so ever, I owuld liek to go to sleep before 6 comes around but my mom wont let me go to sleep till i get these two assignments done and I am confused about what the first ten even mean. Can you explain them please?

in simple terms;;

1st Amendment- Freedom of Speech, Assembly, and Religion.
You can protest about anything as long as it doesn't become violent and it is peaceful. You can practice any religion in the United States, and the government can't pick one particular one for the country's religion.

2nd Amendment- The Right to Bear Arm
You can own a gun in your home.

3rd Amendment-Quartering
You don't HAVE to let soldiers live in your home.

4th Amendment-Seizures and Searches
The police cannot search through your home, car, etc. unless they have a warrant from a judge.

5th Amendment- Legal Rights
You have the right to a lawyer, etc.

6th Amendment- Criminal Rights
You cannot be tried for the same crime twice.

7th Amendment- Bail and Protection
They can't put too high of a bail for your crime, unless it's needed.

8th-10th Amendments-State Rights
The states have their own rights that they can make up for the state itself.
