sweep up the big peices first and throw them out. Make sure to sweep the whole room since glass seems to fly everywhere. Then take a damp paper towel and just go over the floor with it to pick up any remaining little shards. Those are always the worst to get stuck in your feet!

Use a vacuum for the floor, shake out the clothes (outside or in the tub so you can contain them) then wash your clothes, do the same thing (shake & wash) your sheets and if you feel you have some left...use a sticky lint roller to roll over the areas you think they might be. Also, use the sticky lint roller to clean out the tub. If you don't have a sticky lint roller, use tape wrapped sticky side out around a pole, bat, hairbrush or rolling pin, to roll the shards up. Using the widest packing tape or duct tape you have.
Good luck and don't get poked!

hand vacuume the carpet with the intention to no longer push the shards into the carpet, Then get your self some quite good duct tape and tape the carpet the place the shards are at and then raise the tape off the carpet. with a bit of luck that gets any further shards which you neglected with the vacuume. if your nonetheless apprehensive approximately greater shards of glass being interior the carpet nonetheless then lay a rug or a mat over the section once you place your infant down.

a broom and vacuum cleaner will provide the quickest and best results. On hard floor surfaces, sweep as much of the broken glass as you can find into a pile and carefully remove the largest pieces into a trash can. It may help to dust the area lightly with baking soda or baby powder to keep the smallest fragments of broken glass from sticking to your floor or your broom’s bristles.

I have had luck using one of them sticky roller things you use to get lint off of your clothes. You can also use some vacuum attachments on your mattress or bedding that is taunt enough not to get sucked into the vacuum. For example I have an attachment that has a slanted end for hard to reach corners that has worked well for me in similar situations; however, if you use a vacuum do not pull along the surface but use a "touch and lift" method or you may push the glass in.

Try using a wet paper towel or a hand held vac.
Be careful..glass shards can cut you and you won't even know it.

use a lint roller, a vaccuum, and wash anything you can. Over-do it or it will get deep inside stuff and it will work its way through when you walk around and when you are in bed. Flip your mattress if you need to. Put an X on that side so you remember why that side is down.

wrap packaging tape sticky side out around a paint stick, or toilet brush, or other similar household item, and pick up the shards.
