I'm sorry but did anyone think of even mentioning Justine Henin Hardenne?

Went to every major singles final of this year!
Nobody has done that in awhile.

Once Justine Henin-Hardenne is on nobody can beat her. Its Henin Hardenne who beats herself.

Mauresmo has huge muscles. Sharapova IS HUGE. Williams sisters ... do I need to say anything, and Martina Hingis is bigger then Hardenne also.

Henin Hardenne being 5'5 still beats the bigger opponents and still uses a one handed backhand. How amazing is that!? She has won every single major but Wimbledon and that will change soon if she keeps playing how she is. She also has a gold medal from the olympics which proves how good she is. Plus who is ranked number one now??? Oh thats right Justine.

So for all those people who think Sharapova is the best you are gravely mistaken. Why should a player who takes "bathroom breaks" during the match while her opponent is gaining momentum deserve the title of Best player of the WTA tour.

Dude who is asking this question I hope you read all of what I said and take open your eyes and see why Justine is the best on the WTA tour right now.

I think Sharapova is the only one of those players still on the rise. I think Mauresmo will have a good 2007 though. Williams sisters have about 1-2 years left in them. Clijsters will be forced to retire due to injuries. Henin-Hardenne - just have no respect for her any longer since 2006 Aussie Open - so cannot comment on her.

Serena Williams at her best could beat any of the players you mentioned. She also has the most grand slam trophies to prove it. Serena has the best serve, her groundstrokes are consistent and powerful, and her volley is better than all the others except Hingis. In her prime Serena was the best athlete with Capriati a close second.

If they were all at their best, undoubtedly Kim Clijsters, bot the poor girl has been absolutely stukkend with injuries.

As much as I like M.Sha she has a very one-dimensional game and once its been cracked, although this is very hard to do, she is relatively easy to beat.

I think that sharapova would win, because I don't think she has even reached her full potential yet.

Sharapova (and most would think she's the hottest!)

Sharapova - she is strong, athletic, quick, has good mechanics, and she grunts so much she would distract her opponent.
