They do not (and actually are not ) responsible for how many children a couple may choose to have, or have without planning. Nor do they feel responsible for the level of life style that people want to maintain. They are responsible for the company profit/loss balance.
All too often they are providing themselves with bonuses and expense accounts but there are also some situations where the decision is made so that the company can remain alive without laying people off entirely.
I'm truely sorry if this is happening to your family. Unfortunately it's a large membership in the cut back club. Downsizing is still better than living under the freeway bridge.

I realize you are upset but you have to stop and think this through..
I doubt this employer singled your family out and your family only to issue a pay cut. Times are tough all the way around and I' m sure the employer really had to do some soul searching and found that cutting back on employees pay was necessary.
Instead of blaming the employer you need to sit down and figure out a few things.
1. If a pay cut was the life and death difference weather you kept your home or not then you are living in a home/neighborhood beyond your means.
2. Find a home you folks can afford
3. Get the family involved in making a budget and stick to it .
4 . Start putting a few dollars away in a savings account.
5. Pull together as a team and you will rise above this .
6. If you all work outside the home then give a little each week from your paycheck towards a home fund savings in case of emergencies like the one you are experiencing
Good Luck

The aceholes do this so they can take more vacations in Florida and buy bigger boats and Bragg about how much they pay for their clothes.
