Just try to eat as many fruits and veggies as possible. Fast food is not good for you. Keep your carbs and fats relatively low. You need some protein, but probably much less than what you think.
Make a proper breakfast in the morning and start packing a lunch. It's cheaper than the fast food, and better for you. Make the best food choices you can and then find a Hatha Yoga Class to keep you strong, flexible and reduce the stress of studies.
Get a student of the Dietician Program to draw you up a meal plan or sinply follow Canada's Food Guide:
Canada's Food Guide to Healthy Eating is designed to help Canadians make wise food choices. The Food Guide translates the science of healthy eating into a practical pattern of food choices that meets nutrient needs, promotes health and minimizes the risk of nutrition-related chronic diseases.
The Food Guide places food into four groups:
Grain Products
Vegetables and Fruit
Milk Products
Meat and Alternatives
The amount of food you need every day from the four food groups and other foods depends on your age, body size, activity level, whether you are male or female and if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
That's why the Food Guide gives a lower and higher number of servings for each food group. For example, young children can choose the lower number of servings, while male teenagers can go to the higher number. Most other people can choose servings somewhere in between. The right balance of food and activity will help you feel great and stay at a healthy body weight.
Remember to:
Enjoy a VARIETY of foods.
Emphasize cereals, breads, other grain products, vegetables and fruit.
Choose lower-fat dairy products, leaner meats and food prepared with little or no fat.
Achieve and maintain a healthy body weight by enjoying regular physical activity and healthy eating.
Limit salt, alcohol and caffeine.
Blessings,
Rani

This sounds simple but it's more challenging than you may think: drink a lot of water. That, in itself, is one of the most important positive changes that you can make. Your body will love you for it.
Eat small meals several times a day. Don't do the fast food stuff. Go to a grocery store and get fresh food. Even deli meat is better than a Big Mac.
Don't eat after sun down. This takes discipline. But isn't health and vitality worth some sacrifice? I bet you'll feel the best you ever have if you follow these simple but challenging suggestions. May God bless you with your efforts. *-*

My advice is to cut back on meat a lot! also, try walking to your classes and maybe stretching or doing yoga before bed. it will help your body and kick start your metabolism in the morning. eat a good healthy breakfast, like some oats and fruit, and head to class. while studying, if you get hungry, munch on some carrots or something crunchy that you don't have to worry about if you eat the whole bag. by just changing how you snack can change how fit you are. if you snack a lot, like my collage sister does, then make sure that your snacks are healthy. living a healthy life can be hard, but if you start now, after collage it will be so easy. take some multivitamins, those are good for keeping in shape and helping your body stay up to beat. walking is the best, and easiest exercise there is, and its good for your whole body! hope it helps!

Well, I am a vegetarian, and because my parents dont really support, it, I buy alot of my own food. So, what I would suggest is bulk. It is almost always cheaper. Take a day out of the week and go shopping. Buy stuff to make the meals you know you like. Don't be afraid to try generic brands, either. Then, cook the meals. Split them up into portions and freeze them. That way, when you leave your dorm/apartment in the morning you can just grab a meal out of the freezer and it will be thawed in a couple hours. Just re-heat and eat. It is alot healthier than fast food, and you can control what you eat by making your own meals.
good luck!

Try to adopt a vegetarian lifestyle. You don't have too cut out meat all together but try to limit it. People make the mistake that animal protein is the only form of protein but their are much healthier ways of getting protein. Like from beans, soy, mi-sou, nuts and seeds.
when you go to fill your plate with food. divide it in three parts......half veggies/fruit, 1/4 protein, 1/4 whole wheat carbs ( white carbs are basically just candy and have almost no nutritional value)
Drink lots of water.
Get it out of your head that you are supposed to eat three meals a day. U should eat 6 or 7 small healthy ones.
Have fun while you exercise and try to get your heart rate up
do core and weight exercises 3 times a weak to keep toned.

make sure you eat plenty of veggie/fruits, drink plenty of water, maybe pop a multi-vitamin each day, and take a jog a few times a week. also, if fast food is your only option, make a smart choice, instead of a whopper meal and fries with a coke, get one of those great salads that they have, and a diet coke. not to say you need to rule out all junk food, just watch how much of it you take in. running though is hands down the best way to get and stay in shape. also one of the fastest.
