Live chickens..as apposed to dead chickens? he he he!

That totally depends on what your property is zoned as and what your township or city ordinances say about keeping livestock or "farm animals". Some township require x amount of acres or road frontage to be able to keep livestock.

I would check with your local municipality first to see what is allowed and not allow in your area. I would then ask them what steps need to be taken if your neighbor is in violation of the ordinances or local rules.

People want to call the cops . I bet you're the type of neighbor who peers through your blinds every 2 mins and when your neighbor feels the heat from your glare you get nervous an close em real quick cause you got caught be nosy . Why don't you talk to your neighbor first .Get to know em . Are the chickens being treated "fowley" ? You will only cause bad blood cause they will know who called on them !

If they're bothersome and posing a health hazard (because chickens are generally nasty creatures) you can call your local health department and get the number to have someone come out and cite the owner if they're not in cages.

If they're caged, there's probably not much you can do short of checking to see what regulations are in place in your county about livestock.

Every city is different. Many allow chickens in the backyard. In my city it's by zone. Some can have them and some cannot. I think you would want to check with your city hall or town office.

No.

They are in his backyard, not yours.

If he is not feeding them, mistreating them, or harming them in anyway, then you can call the popo.

If there is an ordinance about having chickens in ones backyard, you might want to check that out. If you live on a skycraper, you might want to call animal patrol.

and besides, if the chickens are alive, then who cares?

Do you live in the city or the country. Check the ordinances. If they are bothering you and it is a county violation and not being taken care of by the owner than report it. If they are not bothering you and it is not hurting anybody, then mind your manners and be a good neighbor.
