This is normally a very common thing called 'spotting'. It has to do with hormone levels throughout your cycle. It's most common in girls who haven't had their period that long, but can happen in adult women too. Sometimes it's due to stress or medications. I know it's a pain in the butt, but unless there is a strong possibility you may be pregnant (in which case, take a test), then don't worry about it!

Is there a chance you could be pregnant? Often when the fertilized egg gets implanted there will be some spotting. If not, it's just some sort of fluke and nothing to worry about.
