All your data from any application is saved onto your computer with Windows XP. Your bookmarks, passwords, everything will be there when you reinstall. Your best bet, it to import everything into Internet Explorer first (if you haven't already) then uninstall Firefox and reinstall after you restart from the uninstall process. This will remove any corrupt data attached to Firefox. Then all you have to do is reimport everything back to Firefox like it asks in the install process. It's your best bet! I have Firefox too, isn't it a great program?! Hope this helps, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I dont use firefox. But if it is like internet explorer there should be a favorite file located on your computer.
Right click ..Start button
Then left click ...Explore
This is where you will find every folder that is on your computer.
See if the list is under the favorites folder.
If not then look around there for another folder. There might be some indication by looking under firefox.

Whenever Firefox is installed it creates something called a profile which is located separate from the installation folder. This profile stays there until it is manually deleted. It will not be deleted during an uninstall. The profile contains your bookmarks, saved passwords, custom toolbar settings, and extensions, as well as other information. Information on where this folder can be found is given on this website:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder

I oftentimes leave my e book open, grew to become face down on my bedside table. If I could desire to convey a e book someplace different than my mattress I stick in regardless of is accessible as a bookmark, a reciept, piece of yarn, organisation card...i do unlike folded corners, they never somewhat pass back directly.

You need to Export your bookmarks, reinstall FF, then import them again.
Export: Bookmarks -> Manage Bookmarks -> (opens new window)
File -> Export -> Save as...
Import: Bookmarks -> Manage Bookmarks -> (opens new window)
File -> Import -> File -> Open...

put your bookmarks on del.icio.us and you won't have to ever worry they will be there for as long as you want them
I also put my bookmarks on a CD then transfer them when I have the new browser is in place.

go in and copy the shortcuts to wordpad then add them back in or if you have them in IE it will ask you if you want to transfer them over same thing.

I believe it asks you when you are done downloading ... do not delete the current one before you have downloaded it again.
