Creating in the broader sense of the term , I take it, creating not nust offsprings but any creation , be it art, science , humanities... the works.

It is a nice provoking question. Thinking laterally , I would like to say that , for a change , it would be nice.Stopping creating could get us back to our original roots of simple living , uncomplicated thinking and close to the nature.. I would say world could at peace more and humans and the other creatures living in harmony.

The best image that comes to mind is "seeing the citis without any cars" How nice would that be!

there would be no more humans in 100 years more or less, obviously. All the cities and everything would be empty...but not everyone would be buried properly because eventually, for the last few thousand people, there wouldn't be any morticians or anything. Not only would there be none of those- doctors, firefighters, farmers etc would be scarce so the human race would go down even faster. Without all the jobs that make the world go round, humans will return to their orgin. And then, since they stopped creating, they will die. Animals would rule the earth and continue to evolve and then another species (a known, or perhaps unknown new species) will rule the earth. Interesting question- makes one think. Another question this leads into is, When and how will humans become extinct? because i highly doubt we'll be around when the sun dies....

Well, in one sense humans would become extinct.

In another, we would hear about a lot more things from other cultures, and places, since we would have to eventually branch out farther, seeing as how there would be nothing new, in the "just made sense".

If we could no longer be creative, then life be an empty form of existance to me, for I am an extremely artistically inclined person. And to lose the gift of creativity would utterly destroy me.

We can't stop creating, because it's part of the human nature to continually create. Well, if humans stopped creating, then the human race would probably go extinct, but nature and the earth would probably just get along fine, even if we're all dead.

We can't stop creating as it is in our nature. Unless there would be stagnation, no evolution and probably the end of us as it is contrary to our nature. There would be always the same things, no changes, we would be turned into an unmotivated humanity with little motivation in survival too as life would be dull and hopeless. We won't get used to it as we never get used to unhappiness.

They would be very unhappy. It is in our nature to create.
On the other hand, producing is not necessarily creating. The rate at which we are producing things that are not making us happy seems, on the contrary, to be a sign of modern industrial societies' lack of creativity. We do things as we did them yesterday, with meaningless modifications, but we never truly re-examine our values unless a catastrophe forces us to.

Death. Humans would slowly succumb to death due to lack of nourishment alone. Farming industry creates our food supply. Everything we do to maintain our existance hinges on creating. Everyone in all professions skills, trades and careers creates something that helps sustain human life. Humans would perish from emotional starvation as well...we were created to create.

I have been very creative most all my life. If I were to lose my mind and not create paintings and songs, music.crafts. carvings. guitar. banjo, writings and such I would shrivel up and die. I don't know about others.my whole life, my home ,my entire being is creative. thoughts, writings. the books I have written. I would be utterly lost.My soul would die and My spirit within would not be connected to God. I don't think. My God you shouldn't even have got me thinking about that. But I do wish for you a very Merry Christmas.

Humans have never created anything from scratch. They have only mixed and matched things provided by nature to satify his own whims and motives. This has only caused more destruction, chaos, unhappiness, and problems.
