The government betrayed it's people...they were giving blacks crack and guns for them to sell...the only catch was that they could only sell them to other blacks...And then later on the blacks who they gave the drugs to sell they arrested them.....thats messed up..... Yeah it's bad they were selling drugs before the government but the government created Crack for the blacks to sell to blacks creating a bigger problem....They say it was so blacks would not be able to move up far in society and move out of the black neighborhoods...this happened mostly in Califorania....

Its crazy how most of the "whites" who answered or commented have never heard of such a thing. Well I have and it wasn't just in California and no I am not a former or present crackhead I just like to educate myself on what has happened to my people in history. That was a terrible blow the black community took, and we are still recovering and the "crack epidemic" that happened way back in the early 80's. P.S. the two main presidents at that time were Regan and Bush Sr. The African-Americans weren't the only victims. EDUCATE YOURSELF YOU WON'T ALWAYS LEARN THE TRUTH FROM TEACHERS.

I'm black and from Cali- never, never, never was I given crack or guns. This is the kind of ignorance that keeps AFAM's as a race down. Just another excuse to blame the MAN for our problems...
PROOF PLEASE. Or stop with the conspiracy theories.
Response to your added details - I was born in the 70's, and just because I didn't deal or come from the "hood" I can tell the difference between the truth and a rant. This is insulting to all of the people that did make it out of the neighborhood and are living successful lives now.
People need to take responsibility for their own actions. No one forces a person to buy, sell, smoke crack or any other drug.
What would be your excuse for all of the kids in suburbia being introduced to a narcotic? Another conspiracy? Or is it okay because they are rich?
P.S. To address the article you posted - everything in print isn't the Gospel. Everyone has a theory and an agenda. Use your mind to discern the facts.

Wow, were this verifiable it would be plastered across the news as the news jumps on race issues now left and right. It would be a reprehensible act if it were so. Since I cannot find verifiable evidence of this I think it may actually be propaganda to cause more distrust in our government, which is a shame. While I will readily admit our government is riddled with problems, over all as the citizens that vote in our government we need to be pro active to prevent the criminals from being our voices in the government.

I have never in my life heard this before until just now. Can you at least give a link to back this up?
You're lying! if this was true not only would the WHOLE COUNTRY know but the WHOLE WORLD! You're just believing some dumb false gossip.
Honestly I could make a website like that with my eyes closed that is NOT a reliable resource what so ever. If you had like a CNN, Sean Hannity, or MSNBC link then I would believe you.

I don't think the government would have a motive to do this.
The government likes money. It gets money by collecting taxes. You can't collect taxes from a crackhead, because, hey, they aren't employed and they spent their money on crack. Crackheads cost the government money, because they have to arrest them and incarcerate them.
This is a silly theory. I know you believe it, buy hey, it makes no sense.
No one forces anyone to do crack. Weak people do drugs because it makes them feel good. In the case of crack, the good feeling lasts a very short time.

The government created crack???? Did you smoke some because that is the silliest thing I have ever heard (well maybe except that the government was behind 9/11). Do you have any proof? And what about all the non blacks who have become addicted to crack? That is one zany theory!

As someone else said, why make excuses for other people's lack of self control? You paint a horrible picture of your own people. Who dragged black people by the hair to sell crack? And are you forgetting about the ones who have never engaged in any sort of crime, have moved far up in society, and even the ones who have *gasp* never lived in a ghetto? It's time for the blacks with issues to stop blaming "whitey" and start blaming THEMSELVES. If someone hands you crack or guns to sell, it's your RESPONSIBILITY to refuse it. This question is bullsh*t. Next.

OH COME ON!
first... why waste CRACK on someone who can't pay the price it demands?
Also... you could give me CRACK all day... you might as well give me TAMPAX... because I have NO USE FOR either of them.
You make it seem like BLACK are STUPID... and subject to the "WHITE MAN'S PLANS"... and WHITE POLITICIANS are trying to ruin a race.
I'm white... I gotta tell you - I've got way more pressing things on MY mind.
You insult my black friends when you suggest - that if someone gives them something BAD... they have NO CHOICE.

We all have a choice not to use drugs. It's not the government's fault. If you want to feel you are equal in society, just be strong and work hard.

Did that really happen? I heard many conspiracy theories, but never did I ever heard about that. It sounds almost like the cigarette companies were peddling Menthol cigarettes exclusively to African Americans theory.
