I've gotten multiple gifts like that, however, I am always gracious and say thank you. I think I might have re-gifted a couple such as lotions and bubble bath items. Other than that most of the gifts I don't like I usually just end up keeping for a while and then donating them to a place like St. Vincents de Paul.

I’m actually planning on giving an unopened remote control car to my 8-year-old cousin whose parents (my aunt and uncle) gave to me when I was a kid years ago. I didn’t really care for it when I got it as a kid. I preferred working on plastic model kit airplanes back then not remote control cars. My uncle and aunt will more likely not remember that it was the same gift they gave to me as a kid since it was a long time ago.

Of course I have. Its called recycling. I received the most hideous (in my eyes) sculptured candle I ever saw for Christmas from my cousin one year. (Thank goodness we live 400 miles from each other). The next week a friend visiting from a nearby state fell in love with it. She got it for her birthday 3 months later. Like I said - it was recycled.

No, I have never done that. If I don't like it, I try to be mature and say thank you. You're not obligated to put it to use anyway.
