As a kid I once had to spend Christmas in a motel room with my folks so they wouldn't be constantly bothered by phone -Salvation Army Officers who are always on call- and my Mom was sick with flue, too, so it was Kraft Dinner for the Christmas dinner.

while all my inlaws were opening up great gifts (perfumes, giftcards, etc) they gave me a tupperware set, a 4 glass goblet set, plastic bakeware and a pot.. hmm yeah that has been the worst, that was not a christmas present, it was a home welcoming gift.. too bad they were about a year and a half too late. lol

An iron and ironing board! Back then, I didn't like getting that for Christmas. Wouldn't mind stuff like that today though. Whatever, doesn't matter.
