I'm a capitalist.
The most fundamental reason why is that it works. It's not utopia, and it does have problems, but the good so outweighs the bad.
Capitalism is also the only system that respects human freedom and choice. It also directly rewards innovation, risk, hard work, and smart choices. It punishes laziness and stupid choices.
Through competition, it forces businesses to continually offer us better products and services, at better prices.
Capitalism results in everyone getting richer. Census data proves this, that over time, all income groups including the poor, the middle class and the rich get richer over time.
Every time the gov't steps in and meddles with the market, higher prices or shortages result. Remember the oil shortages of the 70's, where people were in long lines when they found a station that even had gas? That was due to price controls instituted by the gov't. Remember the high telecom prices when AT&T was a monopoly. Phones and long distance were expensive. When the industry was deregulated, long distance prices plunged, as well as the phone hardware.

You're begging the question of whether any of these does or can exist. Communism and fascism are illusory ideals of a utopia that can never exist; the only difference between the two is the totalitarian method of arriving at the utopia. And capitalism and socialism are false because neither account for competition completely. Capitalism needs government interference to ensure competition while socialism needs private ownership to provide for competition. But I describe myself as a capitalist.

I'm none and I am all the above (maybe not fascist)
Communism is bad because they take way you freedoms, but they do try to create a government you can depend on. They always have failed at that, but they continue to try.Under this government, not one person has a reason to be motivated.
Socialism is a bit better. They allow you to have more freedoms but make you responsible to everyone else who lives in your community. They take away the motivation that is without a doubt, alive and well in capitalism.
Capitalism goes too far the other way. It does provide motivation and opportunity for most people. It attempts to open the doors to all people. But it also allows thieves to come in an take away your freedoms in the interest of theirs (ACLU). Lawyers dominate the government making it impossible for others to truly have their way in government. Power hungry people strive to take their place in government, only to misuse and abuse their power.
It by far is the best form of government on earth today. But it has its weakness's.
Fascist. nothing to say.

Capitalist. I believe in freedom and empowering people, not government. The capitalist system isn't perfect, but it gives almost anyone the chance to succeed, no matter where they came from, be that rich, poor, black, white, whatever.

Capitalist...
Because I believe if you work hard and sacrifice, anyone can become a millionaire.
There shouldn't be handouts to those who desire not to contribute to society.
Just my opinion.
